ACCOUNTANT

LOCATION: Trincity

SECTOR: Retail

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• 2–4 years’ experience in a similar accounting position
• Solid knowledge of inventory accounting and stock movement processes
• Familiarity with ERP systems (experience with Odoo or similar platforms is an asset)
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including operations and warehouse staff

 RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• Record, review, and reconcile daily financial transactions
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
• Process invoices, payments, and receipts accurately
• Perform regular bank and cash reconciliations
• Monitor and track inventory movements within the system
• Reconcile physical inventory with system records alongside warehouse teams
• Maintain accurate cost of goods sold (COGS) and inventory valuation
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies between stock and financial data
• Ensure proper integration between sales, purchasing and inventory systems
• Maintain and update financial data within the ERP system
• Support improvements in operational workflows across departments
• Assist with monthly financial reporting and preparation of schedules
• Maintain organized financial documentation and records
• Provide support during audits and ensure compliance with policies
